Apply for a Ministry Education Fund Scholarship
The Ministry Education Fund supports women pursuing ministry-related education for a church-related career at any accredited college, university, or graduate school. Scholarships are for degree programs only.

Application due by April 30th.
Application Requirements
In addition to the application, applicants must submit the form and the following as a single application packet:
First-Time Applicants:
- Letter of recommendation from your clergy.
- Letters of recommendation from three church women, preferably members of The Order, who know you well.
- Personal Statement (separate page) on how this education will serve the Church.
- Essay (500 words or less) describing God’s call on your life.
- If experiencing financial hardship, include an explanation (separate page).
Renewal Request for a previously approved multi-year program:
- Brief essay on what your scholarship from The Order has meant to you.
- Letter of recommendation from an academic advisor or mentor.
- Proof of satisfactory academic progress (e.g. unofficial transcript).
- If experiencing financial hardship, include an explanation (separate page).
Required Forms (must be completed and submitted with all applications):

- IRS Form W-9 (required for individuals or businesses receiving funds)

Guidelines
- Continuing education includes but is not limited to programs such as Education for Ministry, Stephen Ministry, Clinical Pastoral Education, and Spiritual Direction certification.
- Ministry Education Fund grant requests are accepted, reviewed, and paid throughout the year.
- All Ministry Education Fund grants are need-based and determined by the amount of money available in the Ministry Education Fund when applications are reviewed by the Ministry Education Fund Committee.
- Requests for grants should be submitted no less than 8 weeks and no more than 6 months prior to the time of expected need.
- Requests for grants in support of multi-year programs must be submitted for one year at a time.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted and considered until all required documentation is received by the Ministry Education Fund Chair.
