The Rev. Michelle A. Danson
Michelle is a native of Yorkshire, England. She left a career in teaching high school physics to raise her family of four children for more than twenty years. The family moved to the USA in 1983, and in 1997 she was widowed. Following a call to the priesthood, she completed an M.Div, in 2002 in Denver followed by a certificate in Christian Spirituality at GTS in New York. While in NYC, Michelle served as a priest and parish spiritual director to a large parish. It was during this time that she realized that for her to best serve the future of the changing church, she would serve as a non-traditional priest. She is a sought-after supply priest, spiritual director, retreat and workshop leader. Michelle is a Reiki II practitioner and is trained as both a labyrinth and SoulCollage® facilitator. She is also a presenter for centering prayer and has a passion for teaching the enneagram. She recently walked the Camino in Spain, co-led a pilgrimage to Iona, and spent a week at Auschwitz with the Zen Peacemakers on their annual Bearing Witness retreat. She loves Celtic Christianity and has a passion for the Mystics. She has been on the faculty of the Benedictine Spiritual Formation Program and has served as adjunct faculty at Naropa, a Buddhist University in Boulder. She has served six years on Spiritual Direction Colorado,(SDCO) and has served as Chaplain to various organizations, including the Standing Committee of the Diocese of Colorado, Colorado DOK, and currently serves as chaplain to all of the executive assistants to the episcopal bishops nationwide. Michelle has re-married and is the proud mother of four adult children, and five grandchildren. She lives near Boulder, Colorado, and enjoys, Meditation, Yoga, Hiking, Camping, Reading, and spending time with family and friends. Michelle passionately believes in lifetime spiritual formation and is noted for having a great sense of humor!

The Rev. Rhett Solomon
A native of New Jersey, Rhett Solomon is a child of the foster care system, who was adopted at the age of one. After high school, he traveled to Atlanta to attend Morehouse College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2003. He holds a Master of Divinity degree (2009) and a Master of Theology degree (2020) from Candler School of Theology (Emory University). He was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons on December 19, 2020, and to the Sacred Order of Priests on June 26, 2021. Prior to his ordination in The Episcopal Church, Rhett was a licensed and ordained Baptist minister and co-pastor of a non-denominational church. Rhett currently serves as Associate Rector at Holy Trinity Parish, where he oversees Children, Youth, and Adult Formation. In the Diocese of Atlanta, he serves as Secretary of the Standing Committee, Diocesan Chaplain for The Order of the Daughters of the King (Diocese of Atlanta), and the East Atlanta Convocation Representative for the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia. In the wider community, he serves as Chaplain of St. Vedast House, a formation community at Candler School of Theology (Emory University); and adjunct faculty at Candler School of Theology (Emory University).
Rhett is a divorced father of two beautiful daughters, Charlotte and Skye. He loves God, quality time with family and friends, people, and ministry. He enjoys reading, writing, poetry, music, history (African American, British, United States, U. S. Presidential), mythology, art, traveling, hiking, tennis, swimming, basketball, movies, theatergoing, playing board games and cards, and building LEGO sets.

The Reverend Canon Terence Alexander Lee
The Reverend Canon Terence Alexander Lee is the Interim Priest of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church located in South River, New Jersey. He most recently served as Rector of The Historic St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Harlem, NY (2018-2023). He served as Rector (Pastor) of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Hollis, NY, in the Diocese of Long Island from 2010-2018. Due to his ability to inspire, nurture and positively impact parishes, in addition to serving at St. Gabriel’s, Father Lee was simultaneously appointed by the bishop, Priest-in-Charge of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Springfield Gardens, NY. Fr. Lee believes in the church’s wider mission and is a Canon in the Cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Wiawso, Ghana, West Africa, where he has had the opportunity to serve and preach. Prior to New York, he served as Canon Pastor of The Cathedral of St. John, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Bennettsville, South Carolina. He is a priest with an awareness of the broader church community. He also has a love and passion for liturgy, worship, and serving God’s people. Fr. Lee is a graduate of Nashotah House Seminary located in Delafield, Wisconsin, where he served as a Chapel Scholar. He is a member of The Guild of St. Benedict, which helps inform his life of prayer, study, work, and worship. He has special gifts and skills for ministry in preaching, spiritual formation, pastoral care and counseling, church administration, church growth, community involvement, and conflict resolution. He is also a dedicated and gifted teacher with a heart for children, having served as an Elementary School Teacher in South Carolina for Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Additionally, he is committed to fostering Black male leadership. He served as a mentor for Black youth for several years and is a leader in developing programs for Black males and pregnant teen mothers. He has served as a spiritual counselor and advisor with The Children’s Defense Fund, a premier children’s advocacy organization. Fr. Lee also served as Chaplain for the Bennettsville, SC Police Department and the Rotary Club International. He served as Vice President of the Board of Camp DeWolfe, the Diocese of Long Island’s diocesan camp and conference retreat center, where he helped transform camp fundraising and participation. Additionally, Fr. Lee served as Chaplain for the Order of the Daughters of the King, on the Board of the Queens Federation of Churches, and the Board of the 145 Valentine Lane Cooperative. He is the former Chaplain and currently serves as the Associate Editor to the Sphinx Magazine of the Alpha Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Fr. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston in SC. He enjoys music, traveling, reading, and golfing. He is married to the Reverend Violet Lee, Ph.D., Chaplain and Teacher of Religion and Philosophy of The Lawrenceville School and formerly Executive Program Minister of Christ Church, United Methodist of NY. They are the proud parents of two children, Gabrielle and Noah.

The Rev. Dr. Margaret Short,
DMin, MA, MDiv, BCC Assistant International Chaplain of The Order
The Rev. Margaret Short, DMin, MA, MDiv, is a Daughter of the King currently serving as the Assistant International Chaplain. She grew up in the US, France, and Paraguay. She is a member of the Anglican Global Missions Initiative and is a long-time Board Member for SOMA/USA, an Anglican missions society. Margaret was the founder and director of the Pastoral Care Dept. at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for 24 years, and is currently serving part-time as a hospice chaplain and providing educational stress and crisis debriefings for hospice staff. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. Her front line training/experience includes practical application of Critical Incident Stress Management and Psychological First Aid. Margaret was the Co-founder of the Southern New Mexico Suicide Prevention and Survivor Support Coalition, and facilitated suicide survivor support groups for over 12 years. She has been a frequent speaker/facilitator on suicide prevention and aftercare, and on Trauma-Informed Care for physicians, nurses, mental health counselors and psychologists, pastors/chaplains, public school nurses, social workers, treatment Foster Care parents, and Army military and civilian employees in southern New Mexico. Margaret has been an occasional lecturer in academic and church settings on multiple topics including spirituality and medicine, medical ethics and world views, suicide prevention, variations in culture and world view, care for the dying, etc. Venues include the New Mexico State University, Doña Ana Community College, and Vista College in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In international teaching ministry, Margaret served the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic for 8 years as a Chaplain for international medical students and as a faculty member for Spiritual Direction at the Centro de Estudios Teológicos. She has ministered in three languages as a guest lecturer on various subjects at Episcopal, Anglican and Free Methodist seminaries in Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Montevideo, Uruguay; Guayaquil, Ecuador; and Yavatmal, India. Additional core presentations for clergy, laity, and medical professionals include Trauma – Informed Ministry: Pastoral Care in Trauma, Crisis, and Loss, and a sequel: Trauma-based Dissociation of the Self: Pastoral Implications for Counseling, Evangelism, Inner Healing, & Deliverance. Also, Integrative Medicine: A Shifting Worldview (spiritualist trends in US healthcare and leading medical training institutions); The Alzheimer Caregiver’s Grief; Loss & Guilt: Exploring the Meaning of “Human” and the Care of the Human Spirit; Ethical Issues in Neonatal End of Life Care; and Domestic Violence: Where Are the Churches? (Theological Considerations of Oppression and Liberation). Margaret is the author of the book, Law and Religion in Marxist Cuba: A Human Rights Inquiry. |
