Financial Support of the Order |
Financial Support of The OrderThe primary way that the financial needs of The Order are met is through annual dues paid by each Daughter. This money is used to support the work of The Order at the national, provincial and diocesan levels and includes a subscription to The Royal Cross, our national quarterly publication. For those who occasionally need help in paying dues, financial assistance is available.
The national portion of members’ dues is primarily used to support our National Office and staff. Like our leadership at every level, our National Council members are all volunteers. For this reason we have a low operating budget compared to other non-profit organizations of a similar size. Funds of The OrderAlthough we are not allowed to raise money in the name of The Order, the fruits of our individual giving spread Christ’s Kingdom in many ways. Daughters give annually to the four funds of The Order. The Self Denial Fund supports mission; the Master’s Fund provides women with scholarships for seminary and theological education; the Alpha Fund supports Junior Daughters programs; and the Endowment Fund supports the continuing work of The Order in the extension of Christ’s Kingdom. Chapters observe annual dates of ingathering for each fund but individual contributions may be made at any time. Gifts from those who are not Daughters are always welcomed. Other GivingAdditional donations, made through the generosity of members and friends, are a great help in funding the expansion of The Order and our mission, both domestically and abroad. Donations can be made to fund dues scholarships, to support international development and the purchase of international crosses, and to support Triennial programs and scholarships. |
