Prayer

In the Christian life nothing can be substituted for prayer. Communication with God is essential to those who desire a growing, deepening relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The definition of prayer found in the Catechism of The Book of Common Prayer states that “prayer is responding to God, by thought and by deeds, with or without words.”

Prayer is the pathway to the Source of life and strength and every Daughter must have a rule of daily prayer. Although a Daughter’s Rule of Life incorporates both the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service, prayer is the foundation from which our service grows.
